Ingredients: 2 15oz. cans condensed milk 2 12oz. pks chocolate chips 4 tlbs. butter 1 tsp. salt 2 cups chopped walnuts 4 tsp. vanilla 2 cups butter 4 cups brown sugar 4 eggs 4 tsp. vanilla 5 cups flour 2 tsp. soda 2 tsp. salt 6 cups oatmeal

Directions: |
Directions:Combine first 6 ingredients in heavy, buttered pan and heat over low heat until chips and butter are melted. Set aside. Thoroughly cream next four ingredients until light and fluffy. Stir together flour, soda and salt and mix into creamed mixture. Mix in oatmeal. Divide dough into thirds. Put 1/3 into square plastic box and put in freezer. Put 1/3 into each of 2 15x10 inch greased cookie pans. Spread half of chocolate mixture over dough in each pan up to 1/4 inch from edges. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove dough from freezer and slice into THIN slices and arrange over chocolate in both pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. If baking both pans at once, reverse pans after 12 minutes. Cool. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. Wrap tightly in foil and keep in refrigerator. Will keep fresh and tasty for 3 weeks or more. |
