1 C. plus 2 T. flour
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ C. sugar
¼ C. brown sugar
1 stick butter – softened
½ tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. water
1 egg
¼ C. nuts – optional
1 C. chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix sugars, butter, vanilla, and water. Beat in egg. Gradually add flour mixture to sugar mixture. Add nuts. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x13 pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of batter. Put into a warm oven for a 1 ½ minutes. Take out cake and run a knife through batter to marble the topping. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
