Brownies:

1 1/3 C. melted butter
2 C. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 C. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
˝ C. cocoa
1 C. chopped pecans – optional


Icing:

Confectioners’ sugar
Hot water

Directions:
Beat the melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs one at a time. Add the vanilla. Mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Add the dry mixture to the butter mixture. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Mix the confectioners’ sugar and hot water until it makes it is a thin consistency. Spread the icing onto the brownies while they are hot.
