2 C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 C. sugar
1 C. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 C. Crisco
2 tsp. vanilla
2 T. milk
2 C. old-fashioned rolled oats
1 C. coconut - optional
½ - 1 C. chopped walnuts - optional
1 C. raisins - optional
1 C. dates – soaked in warm water and chopped - optional

Directions:
Directions:
Sift the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together and set aside. Mix oil and sugars in a large bowl until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla, and milk. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix well. Add oats and any of the optional additions. Drop by teaspoonfuls two-inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
