3-4 lbs of potatoes from the field (I use the petite potatoes)
2 1/2 cup shelled peas or frozen
1/2 cup flour
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
bit of onion powder
Krazy Jane's or flavor to your liking
1 1/2 quart whole milk (I do 1/2 milk 1/2 cream)

Wash/scrub potatoes; cut any that are large into chunks of equal size. In a large, heavy bottom soup pot, cook potatoes in boiling, salted water for 10-15 minutes. Add peas and cook 5 minutes more until tender. Drain water from pot. Make a slurry of 1 1/2 cold milk and 1/2 cup flour. Into the potatoes, pour the other quart or so of milk or barely cover the potatoes turn the heat to medium and get the milk to a simmer. Whisk in the slurry and simmer until it has thickened. Stir frequently and season.
