6 eggs, separate yolks and whites
1 ½ cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup chopped nuts
1 pint whipping cream (or 2 cups Cool Whip)
3 tablespoons powdered sugar

Sauce:
1 cup brown sugar
¼ cup water
¼ cup orange juice
l egg, well beaten
¼ cup butter, softened
1 ½ tablespoons flour
½ teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Spray two 9" round cake pans and line with parchment and dust sides with flour. Beat egg yolks well. Add sugar, baking powder and flavorings. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites just enough to hold a peak and fold into yolks. Add graham cracker crumbs and nuts. Pour batter into cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven, cool completely. Frost with Cool Whip or whipped cream in between layers, on top and sides.

For sauce, mix ingredients well and boil on medium until thick enough to pour. Cool in refrigerator and pour over frosted cake.
