1 tsp baking soda
2 c flour
2 c sugar
2 sticks margarine (Crisco)
½ c milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
1 c COLD coke
1½ c miniature marshmallows

ICING FOR THE CAKE

1 stick margarine (Crisco)
1 tsp vanilla
3½ c confectioner sugar
2 Tbl cocoa
3 Tbl coke
1 c nuts

Directions:
Mix flour & sugar together. Heat margarine, cocoa and coke to boil. Mix with flour and sugar. Add milk to baking soda, eggs, vanilla and salt. Mix all ingredients together in large mixing bowl. Add marshmallows.
Bake in an oblong pan (9 x 13) at 350º for 30-35 minutes.

FOR ICING:

Heat margarine, cocoa, coke to boil Pour over sugar. Add nuts and vanilla. Spread over HOT CAKE. Let cake cool before cutting.

1 stick of margarine equals ½ c. This is an old time favorite at the farm.
