4 c pumpkin puree (Georgia candy roaster squash)
4 eggs
1 can evaporated milk
1½ c sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 box yellow cake mix
1 c melted and cooled
1 c pecans chopped

TOPPING:
2 c whipping cream
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp vanilla
½ tsp nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350º.
1. Combine the pumpkin, eggs, evaporated milk, sugar and spices. Whisk until smooth. Pour into an ungreased 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
2.Sprinkle the dry cake mix over top and drizzle with the melted butter and chopped pecans.
3. Bake about 1 hour. Remove to a rack to cool for 1 hour.
Topping:
4. Beat the cream until it begins to thicken, add the sugar and vanilla and continue until peaks form. Spread onto the cooled cake and sprinkle top with nutmeg,
5. Cut into squares or spoon out servings.
