Ingredients:
Ingredients:
-1/8 cup Sweet Paprika
-1 tsp Smoked Paprika
-1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
-1/2 - 1 tsp Cayenne (or your choice... I use my garden peppers combined, dried and made to a powder in a coffee grinder)
-1 1/2 tsp Onion powder
-1 tsp dried Oregano
-1 tsp ground Cumin

combined, makes about 1/3 of a cup of chili powder

Aside from making your own pepper powder, this is a very simple effort to combine and thoroughly mix all the ingredients. If you wish, save one of your spice or salt dispensers and repurpose for this chili powder.

My pepper blend usually includes cayenne, jalapeno, green bell, ghost and kung pow peppers. I like to roast them on the grill then fully dry them in a air dryer. I can store a large quantity this way, or just break down the volume by grinding them to powder right away.

Easy to do, very fresh and wonderful to use with Earl's chili recipe. Want it hotter, add more pepper.
