4 lbs small or medium shells
1.5 lbs bacon, or equivalent real bacon pieces
5 scallions
24 ounces mayonnaise
12 ounces sour cream
2 ounces ranch dressing and dip mix (powder)

Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water.

Cook the bacon until crispy. Drain grease and crumble. (Omit if using real bacon pieces.)

Thinly slice the green onions.

In a large bowl, combine the mayo, sour cream, and ranch powder. Stir well. Add cooked pasta, bacon, and onions.

Cover and refrigerate until serving, but at least two hours.

This is a recipe I found on the internet and adapted for doing the meals for the football team. Make sure you use a BIG bowl, or distribute ingredients equally in multiple bowls.

This was a favorite for the football boys and it transported well. I did sometimes add more mayo/sour cream if making the day ahead because the pasta absorbs some of the 'sauce'.
