10 large flour tortillas
2 cans apple pie filling
2 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 sticks of butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Divide pie filling among the tortillas, then roll them and place in a 9 x 13 pan seam side down. Bring water, sugar, and butter to a boil until the sugar is dissolved. Stir in the vanilla. Pour over the filled tortillas. Sprinkle with cinnamon, brown, and white sugar. Bake at 350º for 30-40 minutes.

Following Mother's death in 2001, Daddy had several lady friends. This recipe was from the first one, Nan, who was an absolutely wonderful friend and companion for Daddy, but she was not much of a cook. She brought this dish to a family gathering and we liked it. She was so happy that we all liked it that she wrote down the recipe on the spot.
