1-1/3 cup boiling water
2/3 cup oats
1/3 cup molasses
1 Tbsp. oil
1/8 cup sugar
1 egg
1 or 1-1/2 tsp salt
1/2 pkg. yeast (or 1-1/8 tsp.)
3 to 3-1/3 cup all-purpose flour

Combine water through salt in a mixing bowl. Cool to 110F or room temperature.

Empty contents into bread machine with remaining ingredients.

Welbuilt settings: light crust, 1.5 lb. loaf, no extras.

This is one of the boys' favorite types of bread. It is not overly sweet at all, but rich and delicious toasted or heated in the microwave with butter! This was a recipe I had clipped from a magazine and adapted for the bread machine.
