2 lbs raisins [1 yellow, 1 red]
900g mixed fruit
6 jars maraschino cherries in liquid, 4 red 2 green
2½ c slivered almonds
1c pecans
1½ lbs walnuts
2 tbsp flour for fruit
3c flour
3 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
3 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cloves
1 lb butter
2c sugar
12 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
2 cans crushed pineapple

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat 275º. Grease and paper 3 pans.
1. In one bowl, toss fruit and nuts with flour over night.
2. In second bowl mix all dry Ingredients.
3. In third mix all wet ingredients. Combine all alternating and slowly as it will get thick!
4. Fill pans to ¾ full. Bake for 3 hours.
5. Leave in pans to cool.

Mom says that she and Goose took Grandma Seraphine's Christmas Fruit cake recipe and removed anything they didn't care for and made this one! They say Papa Peter had to stir Grandma's fruit cake with a thick stick it was sooooo dense!!
