Directions:Determine which crust you want. Tim really liked the Jiffy crust but I preferred the tube-o-dough. 1- Refrigerated Pizza Crust in a tube - 2 Tubes One of the tubes is not enough to cover a 12" skillet. Unroll both and lay them next to each other on a lightly floured surface, long sides overlapping about 1/2 inch. With moist fingers pinch the two together. 2- Jiffy Pizza Crust Mix - 2 boxes Prepare both directions following the instructions on the box. 3- Pizza crust from a local pizzeria - find someone who will sell you some dough.
Prepare the skillet by adding 1 Tbls of oil and spread it all over the skillet. Sprinkle the bottom of the pan with cornmeal. The cornmeal is sort of optional. It helps make the crust crispy and not greasy.
On a lightly floured surface roll the dough out into a large square big enough to cover the skillet. Carefully lift this over and lay over the skillet. Gently press it down into the skillet. Trim and roll the edge as necessary. You can roll it around string cheese for a more interesting crust.
Preheat the oven to 350* Spoon on some of the bottled marinara sauce and spread it all over the crust. Put a thin layer of cheese over the sauce and then spread out the toppings of your choice. Finish with another layer of cheese over everything.
Cook it on the stove top for a 3 minutes on high/medium so that oil in the bottom can get super hot and start cooking the bottom of the crust. Then put it into the preheated oven. Bake for 10 minutes on 350 degrees, then kicked the temperature up to 450 degrees for the next 10-12 minutes. |

Notes: I've only made this a couple of times but it is totally delicious. Working out which crust we want is the tricky part.
