1 pie crust
5 /12 cups of fresh blackberries
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of flour
3 tbsp of fresh lemon juice
Homemade whipped cream

Use the 1901 New Orleans Pie Crust recipe and call Leah DiAnn if you need help!

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Combine all ingredients and toss gently and set aside.

Pour berry filling into pie shell and top with crust. Press edges together and seal, make it look pretty!

Cut a few slits into the crust to vent steam from the fruit. Sprinkle with a teaspoon of sugar.

Place pie on the lower third oven shelf and bake 15 minutes. Reduce temp to 350 degrees and continue to bake for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

Serve this pie warm! and Have that homemade whipped cream ready to put on each slice for your guests. Enjoy with a cup of coffee and chicory.
