Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 mason jar
2 types of glitter (2 different sizes and any colors you want – although blue is a calming color, so maybe blue with some green and silver?)
Clear glue
Something to stir with (a disposable chop stick maybe?)
Food color
Superglue to secure the jar lid to prevent leakage

Directions:
Directions:
Boil enough water to fill your mason jar almost all the way to the top. You’ll want to leave about an inch or so to have room to shake up the water.
Once you’ve filled up your mason jar with water (be careful, it’s going to be HOT, so use oven mitts) you’re going to take your clear glue and pour in about 2-3 tablespoons. Once you pour it in you’ll want to stir it up until you no longer see it. The more glue you put in, the slower the glitter will be to settle.
Let the water cool until it is only about lukewarm then pour in about a tablespoon of the finer glitter and stir. Now add the other glitter, probably 3-4 tablespoons (put the top on it and shake to determine whether or not you are seeing the amount of glitter you want – if not adjust accordingly). Add 1 or 2 drops of food coloring if you want the water to be colored, not clear.
Once you’re happy with the amount of glitter and color of the water, you can superglue the mason jar cap on to prevent leakage.
Voila! You have a glitter jar that you can keep at your desk or in your place of meditation. And remember, if you don’t want a big ole jar at your desk you can make a smaller version to keep in your desk drawer.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Shake the jar and watch the glitter fall, the jar represents your mind and the glitter your thoughts. As the glitter (your thoughts) drift and settle at the bottom of the jar (your mind) you should feel a sense of calm. It also helps to do some mindful breathing until the glitter settles as well.
