Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb fresh green beans
8 oz sliced mushrooms
4 Tbls butter
Salt & Pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Put a saucepan of water on the stove to boil. Rinse the green beans and pinch off the stem end of the bean.

Melt 2 Tbls of butter in a large skillet, add the mushrooms and saute. Put the beans in the boiling water, return to boil and cook 5 min.

Drain the beans and add them to the skillet as well. Add the rest of the butter to the skillet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Toss it all to coat the beans evenly with butter. Cover but leave an inch gap on one side to let out the steam. Cook another 5 min.

Try to time this so it’s done within 5 min of the rest of the meal. You don't want overcooked green beans!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I've usually found fresh green beans to be very bland but I had them at Red Lobster one night recently and they were buttery delishousness. I tried to recreate them and this worked out quite well. Just a little salt and pepper and a lot of butter does the trick.
