1 tall can of beer
cooking oil of your choice
2 1/2 pounds stew meat browned
1 medium onion, sliced
1 T flour
1 bay leaf
pinch of thyme
1 t dry mustard
1-2 t. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Open the can of beer and set aside

Brown beef in the oil. Then saute onions. Add flour and cook stirring for 30 seconds. De-glaze with a little of the beer. Add remaining ingredients and the rest of the beer. Simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours or until beef is tender.
