Group “A”
¾ lb. lean flank or round steak – cut into strips 1” wide, then sliced about ¼” thick
2 tbsp. All-purpose flour
½ tsp. Baking soda
2 tbsp. Thin soy sauce

Group “B”
1½ tablespoons oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon scallion, chopped
1 tablespoon fermented black beans
1 tablespoon fresh ginger root, chopped

Group “C”
½ cup chicken stock
½ teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon MSG
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Group “D”
2 tomatoes cut into 6 pieces each
3 scallions cut into 1” pieces

Miscellaneous
2 cups green peppers, sliced
Dash of pepper
Dash of Sesame Seed Oil
1 tablespoon dry sherry wine
1½ tablespoons oil

Directions:
Directions:
1. In 4 small bowls, combine all of the ingredients necessary to make up individual bowls of; Group “A”, “B”, “C” and “D”.
2. Group “A” bowl should be stirred 2 or 3 times over the next 30-minutes.
3. Before continuing with step #4, wait 30 minutes for step #2 to finish.
4. Add the Group “B” bowl to a preheated wok then stir for about 2 minutes or until the mixture browns.
5. Add the contents of the Group “A” bowl to the contents in the wok and stir for about 1 minute.
6. Add sherry to the mixture in the wok and stir for an additional 30 seconds.
7. Remove the contents of the wok and set aside.
8. Add remaining oil to the wok. When hot, add green peppers and stir 4 or 5 times (about a minute or two).
9. Add Group “C” to the contents of the wok and stir until thickened (about a minute or two).
10. Add the cooked meat mixture (from step #7) to the green pepper mixture already in the hot wok.
11. Add pepper and sesame seed oil to the wok mixture and stir for about 1 minute.
12. Add Group “D” to the wok mixture and gently stir 3 or 4 times.
