1 pound flank steak
7 tablespoons oil
1 clove garlic, mashed
1 pound broccoli
5 pieces scallions or green onions, 1 " long
1 slice fresh ginger
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons cooking wine or sake
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons oyster sauce (from Asian food store)
1 can beef broth

Slice beef across the grain into 1" strips. Marinate in 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 tablespoons cooking wine, 1 teaspoon sesame oil and 1 tablespoon cornstarch.
Marinate overnight or at least 1 hour.
Cut broccoli into 1" long pieces
Stir fry beef in 7 tablespoons of hot oil for a few minutes. Remove meat. Add ginger, garlic and scallions to the oil. Add broccoli and cook until tender but firm.
Add beef and season sauce made of 1 tablespoon cornstarch, 2 tablespoons oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1 can beef broth. Heat until bubbling and hot. Serve over rice.
