1 teaspoon corn starch
1 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup Karo syrup
1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper
1 pound pork, sliced into thin strips
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 cups broccoli, snow peas or other vegetables cut into bite size pieces
1 carrot cut into julienne strips
2 onions, cut into thin slices
1/2 pound mushrooms, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Mix water and corn starch until smooth. Add soy sauce, Karo and pepper.
In a large skillet, brown meat in hot oil and add garlic. Stir fry for about 5 minutes until tender.
Remove meat mixture and add 2 tablespoons oil to the skillet. Add vegetables and stir fry a couple of minutes until tender-crisp. Add meat and sauce mixture and bring to a full boil, heating through.
Serve over rice.
