Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
3 lbs. ground beef
(No more than 10% fat)
5 or 6 ribs of celery diced
1 and ½ slices bread crumbs
3 or 4 garlic cloves crushed
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 eggs beaten
1 tablespoon sage
½ cup chopped onion
Salt & Pepper to taste
½ teaspoon dry mustard
Ketchup for topping only

Mix well all ingredients excluding the ketchup. Pat in a loaf pan and cover with ketchup to taste. Bake 1 to 1 and ½ hours in a 350º oven.

Mom was always trying to find the perfect meatloaf recipe. She would look in cookbooks, magazines and the food section of the newspaper. Needless to say the Otho and Lib family ate many a meatloaf for dinner, supper or lunch. I don’t know that Mom was ever completely satisfied that she had found the perfect recipe, but she wrote this one on notebook paper and stuffed it into a cookbook so it must be okay.
