1 pound lard
2 heaping handfuls marigold flower heads and leaves, chopped up
Directions:
Directions:
Heat lard until it crackles. Remove from heat and add chopped-up marigolds. Do not boil. Stir well. Cover and let stand overnight. Heat again and put through strainer or old cloth. Pour into jars and store in a cool place. Put on legs as needed.
