1 Prepared 9 inch Pie Crust
1 C. Sugar
3 Tbsp. Cocoa
1/2 C. All-Purpose Flour
3 Eggs separated
1/2 stick butter
2 C. water
1 dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 sugar
dash of cream of tarter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour and cocoa in a medium size saucepan. Add sufficient water to form paste. Beat in egg yolks well. Heat remaining water and add with butter and salt. Cook until thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Cool but not cold. Pour into prepared pie shell. Prepare meringue with the egg whites. Beat egg whites and slowly add about 1/4 C of sugar to form soft peaks. You may add cream of tarter thicken. Add meringue to pie, brown in oven. Pie should cool completely before cutting.
