Ingredients: 1 large head of Napa cabbage - sliced
5 small green onions - sliced
1/2 c. butter
2 packages of Ramen Noodles, smashed (chicken flavor)
1 package slivered almonds
1/2 c. sesame seeds
DRESSING:
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. rice vinegar
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 of the little chicken flavor packets from the Ramen Noodles

Directions: |
Directions:Put cabbage and green onions in large covered bowl, crisp in fridge. Meanwhile, on low heat, brown butter, ramen noodles, almonds, and sesame seeds in frying pan. Prepare dressing in separate bowl, stir very well. Mix the greens, the browned ingredients, and the dressing when ready to eat. (The noodles go soggy if mixed together before hand.) Add cooked, chopped chicken to make a meal. |

Notes: This recipe came from a lady I worked at the bank with, back in 1993. Jackie Burrup. I went to a Bridal Shower for her daughter, and she served this salad with some Orange Rolls. I got the recipe from her, and everyone I make it for loves it. Years later, I now work for Box Elder County in the Treasurer's Office. It is tradition for us to have a St Patrick's Day Party, and everyone brings "Green Food." I usually bring this salad, and it is the first thing that gets slicked up!! I have a friend from Thailand, and she asks me to make this salad for her. I usually trade her for fried rice. Try this... you will love it!
