Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 pkgs. (12 oz. each) chocolate chips
1 jar (7 1/2 oz.) marshmallow cream
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup margarine
1 can (13 oz.) evaporated milk
4 1/2 cups sugar
2 Tbsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In heavy kettle, combine milk & sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. When mixture reaches a full rolling boil, start timing and cook 8 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent scorching. Meanwhile, in a large bowl (I use my bread mixer or large Kitchen-Aid) put chocolate chips, margarine, & marshmallow cream. Pour cooked sugar mix into bowl while stirring with a spoon or mixer. Beat until fudge begins to hold it's shape. Add vanilla & nuts. Spread into buttered 13 x 18 pan. Refrigerate until cold and cut into squares.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
A plate full of this fudge & recipe was given to me by my Visiting Teacher at Christmas in 1970 while my husband was serving as a Radioman at the Pentagon during the Viet Nam War. We were living in Alexandria, Virginia at the time with our 1 year old and expecting our second child. Her thoughtfulness made the holiday a little less lonesome while we were away from home & family in Idaho.
