¼ cup white sugar
3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. ketchup
½ tsp. black pepper
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. garlic powder
1 dash hot pepper sauce or to taste

Directions:
Arrange onion slices evenly over the bottom of the slow cooker & place the roast on top of the onion. In a bowl mix together water, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, & hot sauce & pour over roast

Cover & cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours

Uncle Darryl bakes the pork roast 75% for 30 minutes & then adds ingredients; he also puts pork on top of RED onions & pours the marinade over the roast; letting it bake for another 20 minutes & then sits it in a porcelain baking dish for another 30 minutes with the onions on top (oven hot, but shut off) for 90 minutes vs. 6-8 hours!
