2 lbs. 1/2" thick beef round steak
2 Tbsp fat
1 tsp salt
1-1/8 tsp paprika, divided
1 clove garlic, peeled
1 cup water
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp flour

Melt fat in heavy skillet. Rub meat with salt and 1/8 teaspoon paprika. Brown the garlic in hot fat. Remove garlic. Add meat and brown. Add water and Worcestershire, cover and cook slowly (low heat) for about 2 hours.

Add sour cream and 1 teaspoon paprika and continue to cook on low for another 15 minutes. Remove steak to platter. Use flour to thicken gravy.

This was a recipe from Sheri's grandma, Mae Jean Fromlath. This is a great way to cook a hard to use cut of beef, i.e. cheap beef! Very savory and goes well with rice or potatoes.
