3 cups SIFTED flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3 teas. Baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
12 oz. Amber beer (I use Abita Amber)
1/2 stick real butter, melted

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Spray loaf pan (glass works best) with veg. spray

Sift flour and scoop 3 cups into large mixing bowl. Sifting the flour is the key. Don't skip this part.
Measure remaining dry ingredients into bowl with flour.
Stir with whisk to mix well.
Pour ROOM TEMPERATURE beer into flour mixture.
Stir and fold gently until ingredients are mixed. Do not knead.
Pour into greased loaf pan and spread out until relatively flat.

Pour melted butter over dough.

Bake 45 minutes to one hour, until top begins to brown and knife comes out clean. Do not over bake.
Turn baked loaf out on board to cool.

Store covered.
