1 carton of strawberries
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons corn starch
1 1/2 cup water
1 3 oz. package of Strawberry Jello (NOT sugar free)

1 9 inch pie shell baked and cooled

Cool Whip or Whipped Cream

Directions:
Directions:
Bake pie shell according to directions. If possible use a "deep dish" pie crust.

Slice strawberries in half. If they are small, use them whole. Place them into the baked and cooled pie shell.

Combine Cornstarch, sugar and water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly and cook until it is clear and thick.
Add the Jello to the mixture and stir until it is all dissolved and cooled.
Pour mixture over the strawberries in the pie crust. Refrigerate until chilled and top with whip cream or Cool Whip before serving.

When I was in the army we went to "Kips Big Boy" restaurants and I loved their Strawberry pies. This recipe is similar to what they served back in the day.
