Ingredients:
Pop out olive or cherry pits with the flat side of a knife. Press down and out they come.

Out of red wine vinegar? Make a great substitute: Add 1 teaspoon red wine to 2 Tablespoons of cider vinegar.

Clean your cast-iron pan with a paste of coarse salt and water.

Microwave garlic cloves for 10 seconds - the skin will pop right off.

Freeze whole tomatoes in a plastic bag and when ready to use in sauce, take out of freezer, add hot water to bag of tomatoes and let set for 5 minutes. The skin will come right off.

Scrambling eggs? Whisk them with a fork, not a wisk, so you do not incorporate too much air; that makes them dry.

Mix leftover chopped herbs with butter to make an instant flavored spread that is delicious on bread, roasted vegies or a juicy steak.

Add chopped cook bacon to mashed potatoes.

Some chefs will say this is crazy, but you can make a burger juicier and moister by dipping the patty in ice water for about 30 seconds. NO LONGER THAN THAT. Then immediately put on the grill.
