1 – 4 to 5 lb. pork shoulder or pork butt
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Season the pork with salt & pepper.
Place the roast, fat side up, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place 1 cup of water in the roasting pan.

Cook pork for 1 hour; reduce heat to 300°F and continue to cook for
another 6 hours.

Remove from oven and cool completely.
Using 2 forks, shred (or pull) the meat – set meat aside.

For the sandwich:

Put the pork in a foil pan and drizzle with BBQ sauce of your liking.
(I like something a little bit spicy.) Re-heat pork at about 300-350°F for
about 30 minutes.

Put on hamburger bun and put extra BBQ sauce on the sandwich.

I like to serve this as follows…simple but delicious

Pulled Pork Sandwiches w. BBQ sauce and sliced onion (to add if desired)
Coleslaw
Potato chips & dill pickles

Dessert: Chocolate chip cookies
