50 Cucumbers
1T. Alum
1pt. Salt
6c. Sugar
5c. Vinegar
Few drops of green food coloring.
2 1/2T. Celery Seed
2 Sticks of Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Soak 50 cucumbers in salt water for a week, using 1pt. of salt into water to color pickles (weight down). Then drain and wash. First morning cover with boiling water, adding 1T. Alum. Second morning nothing. Third morning, drain and wash again, cover with just boiling water. Forth morning, drain, cut into thick slices. Place in jars. Drain excess juice off, after placing in jars.

Syrup: Boil Vinegar, sugar, green coloring, celery seed and cinnamon stick for a few minutes. Pour over pickles.
