2 Carrots
1 celery stalk
1 small onion
1/2 small green bell pepper
1/4 c butter
2 minced garlic cloves
1/3 cup ap flour
1 14 oz. can ready to serve chicken broth
2 cup milk
4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 t salt
3/4 t pepper
4 crumbled bacon slices

Scrape and thinly slice carrots, finely chop celery, onion and pepper
Melt butter in 3 qt sauce pan over medium high
Add vegetables and garlic and cook stirring constantly, 5-7 min, until tender
Add flour, cook stirring constantly for 1 minute
Stir in chicken broth and milk, cook 5 minutes or until mixture is slightly thick and bubbly
Add shredded cheese, salt and pepper, stirring until well blended. Add additional milk if necessary to thin and sprinkle with bacon
