2 C. Sugar
3/4 C. Vinegar
3/4 C. Water
1 1/2 T. pickling spice (tie in a muslin bag)
As many whole, peeled clingstone peaches as the liquid will cover

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar, spice and water. Drop in peaches and let simmer until peaches are done, but not soft. Pour into sterile jars and seal.

Everyone on both sides of the family had lots of peaches. I remember rows and rows of jars containing pickled peaches in the pantry.
