1/2 c. white sugar
2 tbsp. dry yeast
3 1/2 c. water
1 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. salt
Approximately 10 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix one cup hot water with sugar and salt. Stir until sugar and salt dissolve. Add the rest of the water (warm), melted butter and warm milk.

In a separate bowl, combine the yeast and 4 to 5 cups of flour. Stir. Add the flour mixture to the liquid mixture. Mix until smooth. Gradually add more flour while mixing, Knead for approximately 10 minutes. Cover and let rise. Punch down and let rise again. Punch down and shape dough into loaves. Put in greased bread pans. Cover and let dough rise in the pans. Cook at 350º F for 40 to 45 minutes.
