2 1/2 pounds lean round steak
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
1 1/2 Tblsp liquid barbeque smoke seasoning
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp coarse ground black pepper

Place meat in the freezer for 2-3 hours. Trim all visible fat. Cut meat into long narrow strips, 1/8 to 1/4 inches thick.
For marinade, combine remaining ingredients in a gallon sized resealable plastic bag and mix. Add meat slices and marinate 8 hrs or overnight, in fridge.
Preheat oven to 150º.
Remove meat from marinade and drain on paper towels. Leaving space between each strip, place meat on a wire rack over a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake 10 hours with oven door left ajar. Meat will lose about half of its weight and appear dark brown and dry to the touch.
Remove from the oven and cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
