3/4 lb. broccoli florets
2 cups water
1 Tblsp. chicken bouillon
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 Tblsp. butter
about 3 Tblsp flour
2 cups half-and-half
pepper,salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the broccoli in the water (with the bouillon added), for 30 minutes, until soft.
In a small frying pan, saute the 1/4 cup onion in the 3 Tblsp butter until transparent.
Add flour until thick and bubbly. (about 3 Tblsp)
Add the flour/onion mixture to the cooked broccoli.
Add the half and half, salt and pepper.
Cook on low for about 30 mins. (Do not boil)

This is from Diane Harrison's sister. It's super yummy!! I usually double the recipe. You can get the big bags of fresh broccoli florets at Costco or Cash n Carry.
