1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups quick cooking rolled oats
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together flour and baking soda. In mixer bowl, beat margarine and shortening on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add sugar and brown sugar; beat until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

Drop in 1 tablespoon balls, 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 8 to 10 minutes or until done. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on wire rack
