18 oz. milk chocolate chips
1-14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1 tbs. vanilla or almond extract

Coatings: finely chopped nuts, flaked coconut, chocolate jimmies, unsweetened cocoa, powdered sugar, cookie crumbs

Directions:
In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Shape into 1" balls and roll in desired coating. Chill 1 hour or until firm. Store covered at room temperature. Yields about 6 dozen.

Options: For Amaretto Truffles: Substitute 3 Tbs. Amaretto Liqueur and 1/2 tsp. Almond Extract for vanilla. For Rum Truffles: Substitute 1/4 c. Dark Rum for vanilla. For Bourbon Truffles: Substitute 3 Tbs. Bourbon for vanilla.
