2/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbs. cold, unsalted butter
1/2 c. cold water
3 Tbs. vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt. With a fork or pastry knife, cut in butter until pea-sized granules form. Gradually add 1/2 c. cold water, stirring until mixture is evenly moistened. Heat oil in 12" skillet over medium heat. Drop in batter by well-rounded tablespoons. Fry until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels and serve hot. An old-fashioned, southern breakfast treat! Yields approximately 8 servings.
