1 box brownie mix (I use one with envelope of chocolate)
eggs, oil, water per mix directions
2 Tbs cocoa powder
1 tsp. almond extract

*optional:
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped dried cherries
1 c. white chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients and bake according to box directions. *If adding optional ingredients, total amount of add-ins should be 1 cup.

This is my go-to brownie recipe and it gets rave reviews. I sometimes use ultra dark cocoa for really rich, dark chocolate brownies.
