1 (15 oz.) box bran flakes or raisin bran cereal or a combination
3 cups sugar
5 cups flour (can use self rising if you omit baking soda and salt)
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup oil
4 cups buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Mix dry ingredients in a extra large bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the moist ingredients. Add wet ingredients to dry and mix well. Store in refrigerator in covered container for up to six weeks. To prepare, grease muffin tins or line with paper liners. Fill each well 2/3 full. Bake at 400º for 15 to 20 minutes.
