1/2 c. margarine
1 c. flour
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. flour
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. water
3 eggs

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Mix 1/2 c. margarine, 1 c. flour and 2 Tbsp. water
Divide into 2 parts
On baking sheet, form into 2 (4 x 9 inch) strips
Using saran to press down on helps to form thin
Place 1/2 c. margarine in 1 c. water and heat until boiling
Add almond extract and 1 c. flour all at once
Stir until smooth
Add eggs one at a time, stirring after each addition (DO NOT USE MIXER)
Top 2 strips with paste - thick
Bake for 1 hour (maybe a bit less)
When cool, frost with confectioner's sugar and almond extract (maybe a bit of milk to get to spreading consistency)
Top with chopped walnuts
