1 1/4 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, softened
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. mini semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. dried cranberries

Preheat oven to 375º
Combine oats, flours and baking soda in large bowl
Set aside
Beat granulated sugar, brown sugar, butter and shortening in large bowl with electric mixer at medium-high speed until combined
Add egg and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy
Add oat mixture
Beat at low speed until combined
Stir in chocolate chips and cranberries
Drop by rounded tsp. onto ungreased baking sheets
Bake for 9 - 11 minutes or until lightly browned
Remove to wire racks
Let cool completely
