2 Tbsp. olive oil, margarine or butter
4 medium potatoes, cut into 1/2 inch wedges (about 1 1/4 lb.)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 medium green sweet pepper, cut into 1/2 inch wedges
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. pale ale or larger or amber nonalcoholic beer
1/4 c. beef broth or chicken broth
1 Tbsp. brown sugar

In a 12 inch skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat
Layer potatoes into skillet
Sprinkle with salt and pepper
Cook, uncovered over medium heat for 15 minutes, turning occasionally (if potatoes begin to stick, add additional oil to skillet)
Stir in green sweet pepper and onion
Cook and gently stir for 5 - 10 minutes more or until the vegetables are tender
Add pale ale or beer, broth and brown sugar
Cook, uncovered about 3 - 5 minutes more or until beer has thickened slightly
