1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
2 T. cocoa
2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 T. salad oil
1 t. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 3/4 c. hottest tap water
Favorite ice cream and/or whipped cream

In 9"x9"x2" ungreased square pan, stir together flour, sugar, 2 T. cocoa, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk, oil, and vanilla with a fork until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread evenly in pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 c. cocoa. Pour water over batter. Bake 40 minutes in a 350 oven. Let stand for 15 minutes and then serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
