Cookies:
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. pumpkin
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Icing:
6 Tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
8 tsp. milk (2 2/3 Tbsp.)
2 c. sugar, sifted 10 times
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cookies:
Cream shortening, sugar and egg
Add pumpkin
Sift all dry ingredients and add to mixture
Add vanilla
Drop by tsp. onto greased sheet
Bake for 10 - 12 minutes
Let cool

Icing:
Cook brown sugar, butter and milk to boiling point
Let cool
Add sugar and vanilla
