Brittle:
1 c. sugar from Ingles
3/4 c. almonds, crunched
1 1/2 sticks butter from Ingles

Topping:
3 1/2 Hershey bars
1 c. pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º
Melt butter on medium-high heat in 3 qt. pan on smooth top electric stove
Add sugar and almonds
Stir continuously with soiled spoon (Cook and stir until just before scalding - make sure it's brown and smoking a lot)
Meantime warm baking pan in oven (Jelly-roll sizetray)
At the smoking stage turn off burner
Spread in hot pan
Drain excess butter, if any
While still hot place chocolate pieces on
Once warm spread chocolate
While still gooey, sprinkle pecans evenly over top and pat them into the spatula (use pie server as spreading spatula)
Immediately freeze
Once frozen break into pieces and remove from pan
