1/2 t salt
1/3 c cider vinegar
6 whole cloves
2/3 c sugar
1/3 c water
2 cans (15 ozs. each), drained, sliced beets

Directions:
Directions:
Put first five ingredients in pan. Using low heat, bring to a boil and boil until sugar is dissolved. Add drained beets. Simmer for 30 mins. then cool. Cover and store in the refrigerator for 48 hrs. to blend for flavor.
